A couple of days ago, I listened to the Stuff You Should Know Podcast on Gene Editing, and this was the most mainstream mention of the CRISPR. What is CRISPR? It’s a gene editing tool that’s made its first scientific appearance in 2012. With this, we can edit your genes! Well, not today, but in the near future. So check out the podcast (link included above), we promise you’ll learn something and sound a lot more interesting at the next dinner party.
To hear from the co-invented of this groundbreaking new technology for editing genes, called CRISPR-Cas9, take a look at this TED TALK from Geneticist Jennifer Doudna, a conversation from 2015.

Also, we’re big fans of TED Talks here at The Business Magazine for Women, and we’d like to share this love with you. Once a week, we’ll feature a TED Talk in tech or STEM showcasing #womeninSTEM and #womenintech, or something that we think you should know. Enjoy.
