At The Business Magazine for Women, we’re interested in meeting leading women, the women that are pushing the boundaries of what it means to be in business, tech, STEM, sports, arts, politics. The following list of conferences are massive platforms for women, and we would really like to be at all of them! Alas, we can’t do everything. Instead, we have curated a list with a few of the ones that are really important for women in business, women in tech, women in STEM, women in politics. Here’s a list of not-to-miss conferences for 2018 if you’re a woman, if you’re in business, if you’re interested at all in tech, STEM, equality, investing, finance, future trends, and the influencers of tomorrow.

This year we’re filling up our calendar with SXSW, Grace Hopper, Forbes Women’s Conference (checking out the competition ;-)), Yellow Conference, Content Marketing World, and that’s just in the first part of the year. JANUARY

BlogHER – Jan 30-31 – NYC

FEBRUARY

APRIL

Women in the World Summit – April 12 – 14 – NYC
Women who are on the front lines all over the world come to our stage to tell their stories at our summits and salons. They are activists, CEOs, peacemakers, entrepreneurs, and firebrand dissidents. They’ve saved and enriched lives and shattered glass ceilings in every sector. With vivid journalistic narratives, stirring videos, and provocative discussions, Women in the World is the premier showcase for women of impact and for the men who champion them.

Elevate – April 18 – Virtual
An event put together by GirlGeekX. Get the real-talk leadership development advice that you need at this stage in your career from the best in the industry, and cutting-edge tech insights. The advantage with this conference is that you can be at home, or at he office, and watch it online and learn from mid to senior level experts in the tech field. Did we mention, all women?

Invest in Women – April 30 – May 2 – Houston, TX
Invest In Women 2018 is the leading forum nationwide to explore, discuss and learn about issues that are meaningful for women financial advisors and female clients. One keynote that you’ll recognize is the #financialfeminist Sallie Krawcheck of Ellevest. They do not accept press.

 

MAY

MJ Biz Con – May 9 – 11 – New Orleans
This is a #cannabis business conference, and it’s worth checking out. The main reason being that women are the fastest growing segment in this cannabis industry. Women are numberous in this industry, and are successful as they’re starting cannabis businesses all ove the country! Yes, this is a must!

Women’s Leadership Conference – May 15 – Omaha, Nebraska
ICAN’s (Institute for Career Advancement Needs) annual Women’s Leadership Conference – held for 25 years in Omaha, Nebraska – is known to be powerful, insightful and authentic, representative of the leadership trends and transformations present in today’s workplace. This year, the ICAN Women’s Leadership Conference will feature a conversation on Authenticity.

 

JUNE

Wired Business Conference – early June – NYC
No dates yet, but the past years, Wired’s Business Conference has been held in the first week of June, in NYC. And yes, it is a very intimate and relevant conference for women in tech. NOTE: we have not heard anything about this conference this year.

PeP con – June 6-8 – New Orleans
Print + Digital Publishing + the Future of Design – Meet the world’s top publishing experts, Adobe engineers, and developers at the 9th annual PePcon: The Print + ePublishing Conference

Forbes’ Women’s Summit – June 18-19 – NYC
This year, the focus is #redefiningpower, with yet another massive list of over 300 guest speakers.

Mobilizing the Power of Women – June – NYC
Ellevest hasn’t released their 2018 schedule yet, but this was another not to miss the conference. Here is the 2017 conference highlight: We know women have power; after all, we hold trillions of dollars in investable assets, control 86% of consumer spending and are creating businesses at a faster rate than men. And yet, gender inequality persists and women are missing from corporate boards, senior leadership, politics, fundraising announcements, and more. It stops here.

N.O.W. Conference – July 6-8 – San Jose, CA
National Organisation for Women 2018 conference’s theme is The Forward Feminism.

eWomen Network – Entrepreneur Conference & Expo – July 12-14 – Dallas, TX

Grace Hopper Celebration – Sep. 26–28 – Houston, TX

The Pennsylvania Conference for Women offers inspiration, motivation, networking, personal & professional development, and community. Among this year’s keynote speakers are Serena Williams, Amal Clooney, Samantha Berry of Glamour, Michael Chamberlain of Men Advocating Real Change community.

Marie Claire’s Power Trip – Oct. 15 – NYC, SAn Francisco, via JetBlue.com

Wharton Women’s Summit – Date TBA
This event is an opportunity to bring together inspiring female leaders with future leaders to honor their experiences and accomplishments. We will bring issues to the forefront that are critical to all of us at work and in our broader lives but so often get swept under the rug. By doing so, we hope to empower women in a supportive space and inspire future leaders to blaze their own trails.

Emerging Women Life – No dates set for 2018  – Location, TBD
No details for this year’s dates. We’ll keep you informed as soon as we get the details with the location, times, and speaker lineup. Last year speakers include Alicia Garza – Black Lives Matter, Amanda Steinberg – DailyWorth, Donna Lynne – Lt. Governor Colorado, Arianna Huffington,  Dr. Tererai Trent, and so many others.

 

NOVEMBER

Texas Conference for Women  – Nov 9th, Austin, TX
The Texas Conference for Women offers inspiration, motivation, networking, personal & professional development, and community. Last year’s keynotes were: Anita Hill, Sheryl Sandberg, Viola Davis, Adam Grant. This year is just as spectacular: Dr. Brené Brown, Reese Witherspoon, Tiffany Aliche, Lauren Smith Brody, Martie Haselton, Sally Helgesen, and so many more amazing women in business, tech, leadership. TED Women – November 28 – 30, Palms Springs, CA
The time for silent acceptance of the status quo is over. TEDWomen brings together a global community of people interested in exploring how change begins: with innovative thinkers who catalyze ideas toward action. Re•Work – Applied AI Summit – Nov. 29-30, Houston, TX
Real-life AI applications, case studies, business insights & results from leading companies leveraging AI to solve problems in enterprise. There will be an #WomeninAI event here and we hope to see you all there. #reworkAI

 

DECEMBER

Massachusetts Conference for Women  – Dec 5 – 6, Boston, Mass
The Massachusetts Conference for Women provides one full day of connection, motivation, networking, inspiration and skill building for thousands of women each year. Since the first Conference in 2005, this annual event has grown to a sold-out crowd of more than 10,000 attendees and impacts thousands of lives. Dozens of expert speakers lead workshops and seminars on the issues that matter most to women, including personal finance, business and entrepreneurship, health, work/life balance and more. The Conference offers incredible opportunities for business networking, professional development and personal growth.
